Dinh Thi Ngoc Anh

According to state media, Dinh Thi Ngoc Anh was arrested and sentenced because of her live-stream videos on Facebook. 

On May 18, 2023, February 19, 2024, and February 20, 2024, she allegedly posted and live-stremed six videos on her Facebook account named "Anh Dinh." The videos were about the following: people in Con Xanh, Nghia Hung district (Nam Dinh province) traveling to file a complaint with the Central Citizen Reception Office; people gathering in front of Ngoc Lam Border Guard Station in Nghia Hung district; and people gathering at a gas station in in Phuc Thang commune, Nghia Hung district before travelling to file a complaint. 

Along with those videos, state media said that Anh made "untrue, distorted, and slanderous" posts with "insulting information about the authorities of Nam Dinh province at all levels." The posts criticized land confiscation and clearance efforts, to make way for local projects, in the Con Xanh area, Nghia Hung district, Nam Dinh province. 

Project88 was not able to indepedently verify the videos in question. 

Project88 has also not been able to verify Dinh Thi Ngoc Anh's arrest date, but based on her social media posts, it appears that she was arrested in Feburary or March 2024. She was arrested by Nam Dinh police.
