Nguyen Thanh Huy

On December 20, 2024, Duc Linh police in Binh Thuan province arrested Nguyen Thanh Huy under Article 331.

State media alleges that from 2022 to 2024, Nguyen Thanh Huy used two Facebook social network accounts, "Huy Nguyenthanh (Mr. Do)" and "Nguyen Nguyenhuy (Huy Kho)" to share, post, and comment on articles with "fabricated" and "distorted" content.

Project88 has not been able to review all of his posts, but one of his post on April 30, 2024, for example was about the April 30 anniversary, in which he said “After April 30, 1975, millions of Southern Vietnam officers and soldiers were imprisoned and tortured, and tens of thousands of people died in the wild and poisonous forests. Then, millions of people crossed the sea to seek freedom, and half of them died at sea. Their narrow-mindedness caused half a century of national unification to slow.”
