On June 25, 2021, Tra Vinh police confiscated 150 copies of United Nations documents from Thach Tha. Those booklets were: The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), and The Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (DRIP).
On the same day, local police detained another Khmer Krom man, Thach Rine, for wearing a T-shirt with the UN SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) logo. He was released after 10 hours of interrogation.
