On March 4, 2021, Vietnamese police in Phong Phu Village confiscated a T-shirt Chanh Sang made for his customer. The T-shirt design had the wording "Khmer-Krom Celebrate International Women's Day.”

He was questioned initially about the design, and when he left to do unspecified filming, the police confiscated the T-shirts in his absence.

"I am just the business owner,” Chanh Sang said, “if a customer wants a design, I will do it. I can provide the details of the customer."

KKF issued a press release condemning the incident.
