Bao Sach (or Clean Press) was a communication project launched by experienced journalists with the hope of providing the Vietnamese public a more engaging and impartial source of news reporting. They played a very prominent role in supporting the family of death row inmate Ho Duy Hai in his journey to seek justice. Bao Sach also was the first in delivering many news articles concerning BOT protests, anti-corruption efforts, and the abuse of power of the local authorities. They brought forth an entirely new, yet formal and professional way of communicating, between the public and the press. However, all of the founding members were arrested and charged with the accusation of exploiting democratic rights.
